The Kenya National Examinations Council has instructed school principals to register nearly 1.13 million Grade 10 learners on the School-Based Assessment portal by July 30.
The Kenya National Examinations Council has directed school principals to register Grade 10 learners on the School-Based Assessment portal before July 30. This follows the closure of Senior School assessment centre registration on June 24.
Registered centres can now access the Competency-Based Assessment portal at https://cba.knec.ac.ke using a new universal centre code as username and password. The system will capture learner details for projects, practicals and tests that contribute to final scores under the Competency-Based Education framework.
The registration covers the pioneer cohort of about 1.13 million students who sat the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment. It also enables verification of biodata, enrolment and pathway choices in STEM, Social Sciences or Arts and Sports Science.
