Las Vegas police prepare to deploy Tesla Cybertrucks

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has unveiled a new fleet of Tesla Cybertrucks through a promotional video. These electric vehicles are set to patrol city streets soon after completing training. The department highlights their advanced technology for handling emergencies.

On Friday morning, October 17, 2025, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) posted a promotional video to its social media page. The video features the department's new fleet of Tesla Cybertrucks undergoing training exercises.

According to the LVMPD's social media post, the vehicles are “filled with cutting-edge technology and decked out to handle everyday emergencies.” The Cybertrucks have successfully completed the department’s emergency vehicle operations course and recently received Metro Police decals.

The department states that these trucks will enable officers to respond quickly to calls. While no specific deployment date has been announced, Metro indicates the vehicles will be on Las Vegas streets soon.

This initiative introduces electric vehicles to the LVMPD's patrol fleet, emphasizing modern technology in law enforcement operations.
