He clarified that he has used the phrase since being drafted in 2003 and is not hinting at joining the Philadelphia 76ers.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said Thursday that the league cannot finalize the 2026-27 schedule until James decides. The schedule is typically released in early-to-mid-August, but teams and networks are waiting for clarity on where James will play to set marquee games.
Several other free agents including James Harden, Draymond Green and DeMar DeRozan remain unsigned because their deals depend on James' choice. The main suitor teams, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers, are also holding roster decisions.
