LG unveils faster ventless washer-dryer combo at CES 2026

LG has introduced its Signature Series 2026 washer-dryer combo at CES 2026, promising to end lengthy laundry cycles with a 90-minute full load time. The ventless machine uses advanced heat pump technology to deliver high-capacity washing and rapid drying without needing extra space or a vent. This update makes all-in-one units a practical alternative to separate appliances.

At CES 2026, LG showcased the Signature Series washer-dryer combo, addressing long-standing complaints about slow all-in-one machines. The new model processes a 10-pound load in about 90 minutes, slashing 30 minutes from the previous record and matching the time of traditional wash-and-dry cycles with separate units.

The device employs heat pump technology for efficient drying without a vent, allowing installation anywhere with a water connection. This ventless design saves space and eliminates the need for venting infrastructure, making it ideal for smaller homes or apartments.

LG's previous combo, which the reviewer has used for two years, took around two hours per cycle but offered convenience by combining washing and drying. The author praised its reliability for small households and included it among the best washing machines, highlighting benefits like reduced space and no-vent setup despite the longer time.

Enhancing efficiency, the 2026 model features AI load detection via a built-in scale, which adjusts water usage and drying time based on load size. It includes smart dispensers for detergent and fabric softener to prevent overuse. Users can control the fully digital system through the LG ThinkQ app.

The machine is gentler on clothes, using dry-air drying that mimics natural outdoor drying and reduces fabric damage. Pricing details were not disclosed, but representatives indicated an early 2026 launch, with expectations of a price around $3,000, up from the prior model's $2,000+ tag.
