Modo scored three goals plus an empty-netter to secure the win and tie the best-of-seven series at 2-2 against BIK Karlskoga, as Hellsten noted in an interview with TV4 after the game Monday evening. “We showed up today and played much better with the puck,” Hellsten said. “The first period wasn't our best, but it loosened up after we got some pucks in. Patience and belief in what we do—even if it doesn't click right away, scoring three plus one empty net can build confidence, I hope.” BIK Karlskoga coach Dennis Hall acknowledged progress in his team's offensive play compared to their win two days earlier. “We're taking steps in our attack,” Hall said. “It sounds like that when you lose, but we had more creative entries, carried pucks into the offensive zone, and created a lot, including on the power play. Modo was deadly efficient, which decided the game.” Hall criticized his team's sluggish start, calling it sleepy and unacceptable. He explained they had discussed being more courageous after the previous defensive-focused victory, and he saw improved initiative.
