Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has revealed his next project, tentatively titled L367, in collaboration with director Vishnu Mohan. The announcement, shared on social media, includes an intriguing first-look poster suggesting a thriller. Produced by Sree Gokulam Movies, the film marks Mohan's third directorial venture.
Mohanlal, one of Malayalam cinema's biggest stars, announced L367 just days after kicking off production on his previous project, L366, directed by Tharun Moorthy. The shoot for L366 began on January 23, 2026, in Thodupuzha, with Meera Jasmine in a lead role, reuniting Mohanlal and Moorthy after their successful collaboration on Thudarum.
In his social media post, Mohanlal expressed enthusiasm: “With immense joy, I announce my next project, L367. I am truly delighted to collaborate with director Vishnu Mohan on this exciting venture, produced by Shri Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. Looking forward to this new chapter and seeking all your love, blessings, and good wishes as we begin this beautiful journey together.”
The first-look poster depicts an aerial view of a highway: one lane clogged with traffic heading toward a destination, while the opposite lane features a single car traveling alone, hinting at thriller elements. Vishnu Mohan, who scripted the film, previously directed Meppadiyan (2022), a drama thriller starring Unni Mukundan that won a National Award. It follows a mechanic entangled in a real estate scam involving corrupt politicians. His second film, Kadha Innuvare, starred Biju Menon and Methil Devika.
L367 is set to be a large-scale production, with plans to include Bollywood stars, though cast details remain under wraps. Production is slated to start soon.
Mohanlal's busy slate includes Drishyam 3, directed by Jeethu Joseph, releasing on April 2, 2026, and a key role in the multistarrer spy thriller Patriot, headlined by Mammootty with Fahadh Faasil and others, set for April 23, 2026. No updates have emerged on the earlier-announced L365.
