Danish alt-metal band MØL has unveiled the music video for their latest single 'Young', taken from their upcoming third album DREAMCRUSH, due out on January 30, 2026, via Nuclear Blast Records. The track follows October's 'Garland' and offers a glimpse into the band's evolving sound. Guitarist Nicolai Busse shared insights into the song's long development process.

MØL, known for their blackgaze and alt-metal style, continues to build anticipation for DREAMCRUSH with the release of 'Young'. The single's music video is now available, showcasing the band's atmospheric and introspective approach. Recording for the album took place over several months in Frederik Uglebjerg's studio in Aarhus, Denmark. The artwork, inspired by Emil Nolde, was created by Daniel Owen at Nemesis Design, with photography by Rolf Meldgaard complementing themes of dreams, reality, and emotional reconciliation.

Song Background

Guitarist Nicolai Busse explained the track's origins: “'Young' is a song that has travelled through time. The chorus is one of the first pieces of music that I wrote for MØL back in 2012 at a time when I was living outside Denmark. I have returned to it a number of times throughout the years, but I was never able to make it right. So it was only when revisiting it for this record that it finally clicked in my head and I was able to write the rest of the music. The song for me represents a time in my life second guessing myself, trying to stand on my own.”

Album and Tour Details

DREAMCRUSH marks MØL's third full-length release, following their 2021 album Diorama. Vocalist Kim Song Sternkopf commented on the project: "It feels incredible to bring Dreamcrush out into the world, not just through the record, but by stepping back onto stages across Europe and the UK. This will be our second headline run and it honestly feels like a new and thrilling chapter for us in Møl. The songs on Dreamcrush explore how our hopes and ideals can both lift us up and break us apart."

The band will support the album with a 2026 headline tour across Europe and the UK, featuring support from TAYNE and Cold Night for Alligators. Pre-orders for DREAMCRUSH are available now through Nuclear Blast Records.
