Mongolian rock band UUHAI releases new single 'Khar Khulz'

Rising Mongolian rockers UUHAI have unveiled the final version of their single 'Khar Khulz,' the second track from their debut album Human Herds, set for release on January 9, 2026, via Napalm Records. The demo version of the song previously amassed seven million views on YouTube, showcasing the band's unique fusion of traditional throat singing and horsehead fiddles with modern rock elements. European fans can catch the band live on their upcoming tour supporting the album.

Single and Album Overview

UUHAI, a seven-piece band from Mongolia, blends ancient cultural elements like throat singing and horsehead fiddles with heavy rock in their music. The new single 'Khar Khulz' builds on the demo's popularity, offering singalong sections and evocative imagery tied to Mongolian heritage. The band describes it as: “'Khar Khulz' is a prayer, an offering, and an awakening. Through the Khulz, the earth trembles, the heavens shine, and mankind is renewed in harmony with the eternal sky.”

Their debut album Human Herds explores themes of humanity's impact on Earth, migrations, and a call for harmony with nature, all sung in the Mongolian language. UUHAI states: “Human Herds is a reflection on the unstoppable tide of humanity—our migrations, our revolts, our worship, and our wounds upon the Earth. Yet in our chaos, we must remember: we all live under one sun and one moon on Earth, sharing the same fragile home.” The album features tracks like 'Human Herds,' 'Uuhai,' and 'Secret History of the Mongols,' with a total of 10 songs including an intro.

Human Herds will be available in formats such as aquamarine gatefold vinyl (limited to 200 copies), black vinyl, CD digipak, and digital.
