USA er faldet fra tredje til sjetteplads på rejsebureauet Tickets liste over mest populære destinationer for 2026. Bookinger til USA er faldet med over 21 procent, mens Japan træder ind i top ti og Kanariske Øer forbliver svenske favoritter.

Ifølge Tickets bookingstatistik, Nordens største private rejsebureau, har USA mistet popularitet blandt svenske rejsende for 2026. Landet falder fra tredje til sjetteplads på listen over mest bookede rejselande, med et fald på over 21 procent sammenlignet med 2025. Dette er det eneste land i top ti, hvor bookinger falder.

En stor ændring er, at Japan træder ind i top ti og fortrænger Cypern. Andre lande, der stiger, inkluderer Italien, som flytter fra femte til tredjeplads. Spanien bevarer førstepladsen, efterfulgt af Thailand.

På destinationslisten topper Gran Canaria, op fra andenplads, mens Bangkok falder til andenplads. Tenerife er på syvendeplads. Specifikke steder som Alicante i Spanien stiger med 43 procent og Rom i Italien med 73 procent, mens Paris er faldet ud af top ti.

Tickets PR- og kommunikationschef Tiyoneh Jah kommenterer USAs fald: «Det sætter landet i fokus på en helt anden måde, og selvom ikke alle rejser til kampene, kan det bidrage til, at flere begynder at se på USA som en destination igen», med henvisning til det planlagte fodbold-VM om sommeren 2026.

Jah fremhæver også den skærpede konkurrence: «Konkurrencen mellem destinationer er blevet hårdere. Destinationer, der ikke vokser, risikerer hurtigt at miste positioner, når rejserne fordeles.» Statistikken er baseret på bookinger op til 17. december.
