Morten Madsen joins Modo as assistant coach

Morten Madsen has started his new role as assistant coach with Modo and highlighted a lack of joy in the team last season. The 39-year-old aims to bring fresh energy ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Morten Madsen spoke to Allehanda about his early observations after joining Modo. He noted that the enjoyment of playing hockey and representing the club was not fully present last season, despite the players giving their all. Madsen said he followed the team from a distance after his work with Denmark's national team at the World Championship. He believes his different perspective could help restore that missing element. The former Timrå player spent nine seasons with that club before moving to Örnsköldsvik. He recalled his four best years as a player with Modo and described the return as feeling natural despite the rivalry between the teams.
