Netflix renews 'Free Bert' for season 2

Netflix has renewed comedian Bert Kreischer's series *Free Bert* for a second season, following the January 22 premiere of its first. Production for season 2 will take place in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to TVLine, the streaming service has greenlit a second season of Free Bert, starring Kreischer as himself alongside his family as they adjust to life in Beverly Hills. Like season 1, the new episodes will film in Atlanta. Showrunners, writers, and directors Jarrad Paul and Andy Mogel said in a statement: “We're incredibly grateful to Netflix for believing in this show and giving us the chance to continue the freeing of Bert.” Kreischer, who has multiple stand-up specials on Netflix, is also scheduled to perform at the Netflix Is a Joke Fest and Major League Baseball Opening Night.
