Aerion, a lightweight desktop email client, has been introduced as an alternative for managing multiple accounts without relying on web browsers or heavy frameworks.

The app is maintained by developers sponsored by 3DF and draws inspiration from GNOME's Geary for a clean, resource-efficient interface. It avoids Electron, instead using Wails and Svelte, and holds a CASA Tier 2 certification verified by TAC Security against OWASP ASVS standards.
