Coach of the Indonesian U-17 national team, Nova Arianto, urges his squad to play more aggressively in their final Group H match of the 2025 U-17 World Cup against Honduras on Monday (10/11). After two losses, Indonesia needs a win to keep advancement hopes alive to the round of 32. Nova is grateful for fan support and does not want players burdened.
The Indonesian U-17 national team is preparing for a crucial match against Honduras in the 2025 U-17 World Cup. On Sunday (9/11/2025), the players held an official training session at the Al Thumama Stadium training field in Doha, Qatar, ahead of the game at Aspire Zone on Monday (10/11).
Indonesia currently sits third in Group H after a 1-3 loss to Zambia and a 0-4 defeat to Brazil, with a goal difference of minus six and zero points. To advance to the knockout stage, the team must rank among the top eight third-place teams, besides group winners and runners-up.
Coach Nova Arianto emphasizes an attacking approach. "Regarding tomorrow's match, we will definitely attack a bit more because we need three points. But we remain wary of Honduras, who have good transitions," Nova said when met at the Al Thumama Stadium training field on Sunday.
Nova does not underestimate the opponent and wants the team to perform maximally. He is also grateful for supporter support, though he does not want players burdened by pressure. A win over Honduras would give three points, potentially displacing Colombia in Group G, which has two points. However, Indonesia's goal difference is worse than Paraguay, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico, all at zero.
"We know the chances are still very open, whether 60 percent or 40 percent. But I told the players they must maximize every opportunity. I ask the players to be more maximal," Nova stated.
The match will be held at Aspire Academy Field 2 in Doha at 17:45 local time or 21:45 WIB.
