The Agencia de Recaudación y Control Aduanero (ARCA) reported that more than 80,000 people have registered for the Simplified Sworn Declaration Regime for Income Tax. Adhesions doubled in the last 20 days after the launch of an app with preloaded data.
The regime, created in February through General Resolution 5820, aims to simplify tax compliance for individuals and undivided estates. ARCA noted that the number of registered users grew from 5,800 at the start to more than 36,000 added in April.
Economy Minister Luis Caputo highlighted the progress in a post on X. Tax lawyer Daniel Ricardo García explained that the system grants a presumption of accuracy to declarations and allows taxpayers to bring out dollars from under the mattress.
Sworn declarations and payments for the 2025 fiscal period are due in June, according to the CUIT ending. ARCA will provide a preloaded sworn declaration that each user can accept or modify.
