Patta unveils new Nike Air Max 1 Wave sneaker

Amsterdam-based streetwear brand Patta has released a new collaboration with Nike on the Air Max 1 sneaker, marking five years of their partnership. The sneaker features a Hyper Crimson colorway with red waves and comes with accessories nodding to the brand's roots. It is available for purchase on the Nike website.

Patta, an Amsterdam streetwear brand, has a long history of collaborations with Nike spanning nearly two decades, but the Air Max 1 holds a special place in its archive. The partnership began with the Air Max 1 in 2021, and this latest release celebrates five years of joint efforts.

The new sneaker, dubbed the Air Max 1 "Wave," arrives in a Hyper Crimson colorway. It showcases fire red waves across the upper, complemented by gray accents and a black Swoosh. Leather overlays add a chic element, balanced by the model's signature air unit and classic rubber outsole. This design echoes previous Patta Air Max 1 releases, such as a turquoise version with similar wavy patterns.

Attention to detail defines Patta's approach, as seen in its Spring/Summer 2026 collection with embroidered leather jackets and layered houndstooth pieces. For this sneaker, each pair includes a Surinamese bracelet, referencing the brand's South American heritage—a feature consistent across Patta's Nike Air Max 1 Wave models.

Priced at $150, the sneaker will soon be available on the Nike website. It is accompanied by a black bomber jacket emblazoned with Patta on the front and a matching T-shirt, allowing for a complete coordinated look.

This release returns to Patta's foundational elements with Nike, blending heritage and innovation in streetwear footwear.
