Police arrest driver after Tesla rams parked vehicle in Hong Kong

Hong Kong police arrested a 30-year-old man after his Tesla struck a parked vehicle on Sunday. The driver tested positive for ketamine in the latest of at least four suspected drug-driving cases in less than a week. The parked vehicle's driver suffered neck injuries.

The crash happened around noon on Hoi Fai Road outside Olympian City 3 shopping centre in Tai Kok Tsui. The Tesla hit the rear of a stationary vehicle before veering onto the pavement. The male driver of the parked Tesla was taken to hospital by ambulance with neck injuries. The other driver was unhurt but appeared dazed and initially refused to leave his vehicle. Police noticed white powder around his nostrils and conducted a rapid oral fluid test that returned positive for ketamine. He was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession of dangerous drugs.
