Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency Trenggono said President Prabowo Subianto gave 30 days to improve the Free Nutritious Meals program.
Trenggono made the statement after a hearing with Commission IX of the DPR RI in Jakarta on Saturday, 18 July 2026. The directive was given by Prabowo in a limited meeting in Hambalang on Wednesday, 15 July 2026.
BGN will reorganize around 27 thousand Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units involved in the program. Cooperation with several partners has been temporarily halted as part of the evaluation.
Trenggono emphasized that the suspension is temporary and BGN will resume communication after the improvement process. The evaluation also covers disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost regions to make program implementation more optimal.
