Prime Video has shared initial images from its upcoming eight-episode adaptation of Stephen King's Carrie, directed by Mike Flanagan.
Summer Howell leads the cast as Carrie White, a high school student who develops telekinetic powers amid bullying and family pressures. The series, set to premiere this fall, follows her navigation of social media scandals and personal awakening.
Flanagan wrote the show and will direct four episodes, with King serving as executive producer. Supporting roles include Samantha Sloyan as Margaret White and Siena Agudong as Sue Snell.
The project continues Flanagan's work with King's stories, following prior adaptations such as Doctor Sleep and Gerald's Game. The original 1974 novel was previously adapted into a 1976 film that earned two Academy Award nominations.
