PTAD pays N29.99bn to retirees under DBS in Q3 2025

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has disbursed N29.99 billion to retirees under the Direct Benefit Scheme (DBS) during the third quarter of 2025.

In a significant move to support pensioners, PTAD announced the payment of N29.99 billion to retirees enrolled in the DBS for the period spanning July to September 2025. This initiative aims to ensure timely benefits for those under the scheme, addressing ongoing pension obligations in Nigeria.

The disclosure highlights PTAD's commitment to financial stability for retired public servants. While specific details on the number of beneficiaries or distribution methods were not elaborated, the payment underscores efforts to clear arrears and provide relief amid economic challenges.

This development occurs as other pension-related activities, such as support for widows by Zenith Pensions Custodian, reflect broader sector engagements. However, the focus remains on the DBS disbursements as a key step in pension administration.
