Rafael Nadal regrets undergoing hip surgery after retirement

Rafael Nadal has said he would not have had hip surgery in 2023 if he had known how events would unfold. The 22-time Grand Slam winner made the comments during the relaunch of his museum in Manacor, Spain.

Speaking at the event this week, Nadal reflected on the arthroscopic procedure he underwent in June 2023. “The last year and a half, knowing what happened afterwards… Well, I would not have done it,” he said. He added that doctors had given him confidence the operation would allow a proper return to competition.
