Ripple introduced Ripple Mint on Thursday to give institutions automated tools for managing its dollar-backed RLUSD stablecoin. The company also invested in compliance firm Notabene to expand the token's use in payments. RLUSD now trades on several additional blockchain networks.

Fintech firm Ripple made the announcements to support growth of RLUSD amid a 25 percent drop in monthly transfer volume to about $11 billion. Ripple Mint provides a web dashboard and APIs that let institutions create, redeem, bridge and track the stablecoin without manual processes.

The platform expands RLUSD availability to the XRPL EVM sidechain, Base, Optimism, Ink and Unichain. Supply stands at roughly $1.5 billion, with about $877 million on the XRP Ledger and $643 million on Ethereum.

Separately, Ripple made a strategic investment in Notabene. The move places RLUSD inside Notabene's business-payments network to encourage institutional transfers.

Holder counts and active addresses for RLUSD rose over the past month even as market capitalization slipped nearly 5 percent.
