Rögle faces potential loss of key players this summer

Rögle, fresh off an SM final appearance, is preparing for roster adjustments ahead of the next season.

The club will release defensemen Lucas Ekeståhl Jonsson, who is linked to his former team Björklöven, and Mattias Göransson. Coach Dan Tangnes noted uncertainty around extending the contract of Paul LaDue, stating that a replacement would be needed if the former Modo player does not stay. NHL teams have until June 15 to sign SHL players, which could further impact Rögle's lineup. Tangnes also discussed goalkeeper Arvid Holm's ambition to pursue another opportunity in North America, emphasizing that any deal must represent a genuine chance. The team is expected to sign Calle Clang, 24, who has played for Anaheim and its affiliate San Diego over the past three seasons, to replace Christoffer Rifalk, who is moving to Ilves. Rögle may also add a forward or center.
