Seven Ethereum protocols form advocacy alliance

On November 5, seven leading Ethereum-based protocols announced the creation of the Ethereum Protocol Advocacy Alliance. The group aims to coordinate policy efforts with government and regulatory authorities. Initial members include Aave Labs, Aragon, and Uniswap Foundation.

The Ethereum Protocol Advocacy Alliance (EPAA) was formed to address key challenges in the Ethereum ecosystem. The alliance seeks to protect the neutrality of the Ethereum protocol layer, advance on-chain transparency, preserve flexibility for protocol innovation, and uphold global permissionless access.

The founding members are Aave Labs, Aragon, Curve, the Lido Labs Foundation, the Spark Foundation, the Graph Foundation, and the Uniswap Foundation. These organizations represent prominent Ethereum-based protocols involved in decentralized finance and infrastructure.

In addition to its core priorities, the EPAA has partnered with external groups, including the DeFi Education Fund, the Decentralization Research Center, and the European Crypto Initiative. These partnerships are intended to strengthen advocacy efforts on regulatory and policy matters.

The announcement highlights the growing need for coordinated responses to regulatory developments affecting Ethereum and decentralized protocols. As Ethereum continues to evolve, the EPAA positions itself as a unified voice for maintaining the protocol's foundational principles amid increasing global scrutiny.
