Six Farc dissidents killed by army near Huila border

Colombian army troops killed six presumed Farc dissidents in clashes in rural Belalcázar, Cauca, along the border with Huila department.

The clashes took place against the residual structure Ismael Ruiz of the Bloque Isaías Pardo. The group is led by alias Fernando Gómez.

Operations continue in the area to secure the zone and confirm the identities of those killed.

The public force sustains its deployment in southwestern Colombia to confront illegal armed groups active in Huila and Cauca.
