State minister urges graduates to show creativity through broad employment

Ethiopia's state minister of innovation and technology, Belete Mola, stated that higher education institutions will urge graduates to demonstrate their creative skills through broad job opportunities. This came during a discussion at Wollo University focusing on science and technology policy, Digital Ethiopia 2030, and startup policy.

Ethiopia's State Minister for Innovation and Technology, Belete Mola (Dr.), said at Wollo University that higher education institutions will encourage graduates to showcase their creative competence through diverse employment opportunities. The discussion, held in collaboration with the ministry, centered on the science and technology policy, Digital Ethiopia 2030, and startup policy.

The minister noted significant transformations under Digital Ethiopia 2025 in the telecom sector and digital services nationwide. Ethio Telecom alone serves 70 million subscribers, while internet users number 56 million, he stated.

Ethiopia is advancing towards Digital Ethiopia 2030 by expanding technology applications in governance, health, education, and other sectors. Wollo University President Awel Seid (Dr.) affirmed that the institution is engaged in numerous technology initiatives and will continue this momentum.
