Take-Two Interactive chief executive Strauss Zelnick has dismissed suggestions that Red Dead Online represents a missed opportunity for the company. He pointed to the strong performance of Red Dead Redemption 2 and its online mode. The comments come as the game passes a major sales milestone.

Strauss Zelnick addressed the issue directly in remarks to IGN. He stated there is literally nothing about Red Dead selling 85 million units that could signal a missed opportunity. Zelnick added that Red Dead Online has been immensely successful and long lasting.
