Tesla owner lists Model S Signature Edition for over $260k

A Tesla owner is attempting to resell a limited Model S Signature Edition vehicle for $260,490 despite a no-resale agreement that prohibits transfers in the first year. The car, one of only 250 units produced, is listed through J&S Autohaus in Ewing, New Jersey.

The Model S Signature Edition was sold by Tesla earlier this year at a price of $159,420. It forms part of a farewell variant marking the end of production for the Model S and Model X.

Tesla imposed a no-resale agreement on the Signature Editions. The clause states that violators face a penalty of $50,000 or the value received for the sale, whichever is greater. The agreement also specifies that Full Self-Driving (Supervised), free Supercharging, and Premium Connectivity will terminate upon transfer of ownership.

The listing appeared on July 14, 2026, roughly two months after initial deliveries began. Tesla has not yet commented on any action regarding the sale.
