TVLine has learned that Prime Video has scheduled The Chosen season 6 for Sunday, November 15, starting with the first three episodes. Subsequent episodes will release weekly, culminating in a finale on December 6. That finale will hit theaters in spring 2027, expanding the show's reach beyond streaming. The season portrays the historic events of Jesus' final day through the perspectives of his followers and opponents. Pharisees view it as justice, Romans as peace, and followers as murder, the official description states. Despite loneliness and death, Jesus remains resolute toward the cross, with the season revealing how his final hours changed the world. Jonathan Roumie leads as Jesus, joined by Shahar Isaac as Peter, Paras Patel as Matthew, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Noah James as Andrew, and George H. Xanthis as John. The series began in 2017 on VidAngel with crowdfunding support and moved to Prime Video starting with season 5. A seventh and final season is slated for next year.
