The 47th edition of the International Kings Marathon will take place in Concordia this weekend, drawing elite athletes and popular participants. The event blends high-level sports competition with a festive atmosphere involving the entire community. It features 5 and 10 kilometer races, plus a kids' version on Sunday.

The International Kings Marathon 2026 will mark its 47th edition on the streets of Concordia, a city in Argentina's Entre Ríos province. Originating spontaneously in a plaza decades ago, this race has evolved into one of the country's most prestigious, while preserving its core of popular participation and community support.

Saturday is the main day, with gathering and warm-up starting at 19:30. The 10-kilometer start will be at 20:00 from the intersection of San Lorenzo and Sarmiento streets, running through avenues like San Lorenzo and Isthilart, and Boulevard de Irigoyen, passing iconic plazas such as 25 de Mayo and España, before finishing at the Corsódromo. Twenty minutes later, at 20:20, the 5-kilometer race will begin from San Luis and San Lorenzo, on a 5.5-kilometer loop including Urquiza, Mitre, and the Costanera.

Awards will be presented at 21:40. Team incentives include $1,000,000 for the largest group, $600,000 for second, $400,000 for third, $300,000 for fourth, and $200,000 for fifth. Categories are divided by age from 18-19 to 70 and over, in female and male divisions, with inclusivity for non-sighted runners and wheelchair users in the 10 kilometers.

On Sunday, Mini Reyes will provide age-adapted circuits for children and teens, fostering values like participation and healthy living. This event underscores the marathon's role as Concordia's sports and cultural heritage, uniting generations in an athletics celebration.
