Thom Sweeney celebrates new Madison Avenue store with cocktail party

Thom Sweeney hosted a cocktail party on Wednesday night to mark the opening of its new flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York.

The event drew a crowd including Luke Evans, Walton Goggins, Olivia Palermo, Johannes Huebl, Armando Cabral, Frank Lampard and Kate Young to the two-floor space at 761 Madison Avenue.

Guests enjoyed Champagne along with mini lobster rolls and crème tarts while touring custom tailoring areas and a private fitting room. Model Armando Cabral noted that the shop recalled the brand’s early London days but added a New York touch.

Co-founder Thom Whiddett said the move from SoHo felt timely as customers have grown with the label. Luke Sweeney added that being on Madison Avenue had long been a goal and that public opening would follow the celebration this week.

The store shares the block with Giorgio Armani and Chanel.
