AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson, the top two selections in the 2026 NBA Draft, showcased their skills in a Las Vegas Summer League matchup on Thursday. Dybantsa scored 27 points while Peterson added 24 in a game that drew attention from several NBA stars.
The game took place at the Thomas & Mack Center. Dybantsa, selected first overall, recorded 11 points in the opening quarter that included an in-traffic dunk. He finished by tying the record for most points by a No. 1 pick in his first Las Vegas Summer League appearance.
Peterson, taken second, hit an off-balance three-pointer early and finished with eight turnovers. Both players met with media after the contest before heading in separate directions.
Hall of Famer Paul Pierce was among those courtside and offered a positive assessment of what he saw. Other notable attendees included Anthony Davis, Cooper Flagg and Trae Young.
