Tribute concert planned for john prine's 80th birthday

A Chicago concert titled Souvenirs: 80 Years of John Prine is set for October 8 at the Chicago Theatre. The event will honor the late singer-songwriter two days before what would have been his 80th birthday. Performers include Ratboys, Steve Earle, Margo Price and others.

The concert is organized by the Prine Family and their Hello in There Foundation. Musicians will join Prine’s longtime live band for the tribute, with actor John C. Reilly set to host and perform. Additional artists include Joy Oladokun, Alynda Segarra of Hurray for the Riff Raff, Kathleen Edwards, Josh Ritter and Amos Lee.
