Trip-hop artist Tricky has announced his first solo album in six years, 'Different When It’s Silent', due out on July 17 via False Idols. The lead single 'Out Of Place', featuring longtime collaborator Marta Złakowska, captures his signature paranoid energy. He also revealed an extensive UK and European tour starting in May.
Tricky, the Bristol trip-hop pioneer, shared details of 'Different When It’s Silent', his follow-up to 2020's 'Fall To Pieces'. Recorded between his new home in France and Bristol, the album arrives July 17. In a press release, Tricky said, “I just love making music. I’m grateful I’ve had the chance to live this life and keep creating.” Since 2020, he has released projects under Lonely Guest and Theis Thaws with producer Mike Theis, plus 'Out The Way' with Złakowska last year. The tracklist includes 'Still See Me There', 'I’m Yours', 'Out Of Place' and 10 others such as 'Hengrove Blues' and 'Frontier Town'.
