UNC Asheville women's golf team prepares for River Landing Classic

The UNC Asheville women's golf team is set to return to competition at the River Landing Classic in Wallace, North Carolina, on March 2-3, 2026. Hosted by UNC Wilmington, the 54-hole tournament will feature a competitive field of eight teams. Live scoring will be available through Clippd.

The Bulldogs from UNC Asheville will travel to Wallace, N.C., for the River Landing Classic, marking their next outing after a strong spring season opener. The event, hosted by UNC Wilmington, runs over two days with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m. each morning. Players will tackle 36 holes on Monday, March 2, followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday, March 3, at the River Landing course, which measures 6,088 yards and plays to a par of 72.

UNC Asheville's lineup includes Caroline Patterson, Breanna Hoese, Lauren Madson, Carly Sherman, and Sydney Craven, with Katie Bennett competing as an individual. The field also comprises Appalachian State, Kennesaw State, North Carolina A&T, Ohio, St. John's, and William & Mary, alongside the host Seahawks.

In their most recent appearance at the Babs Steffens Invitational in DeBary, Florida, the Bulldogs secured fourth place among 16 teams. They carded scores of 308, 307, and 300 for a total of 915. Patterson tied for fifth at 8-over par (221), including a solid final round. Hoese finished tied for 10th at 11-over (224), while Madson ended tied for 20th after improving on the last day. Pennie Osterberg and Jordyn Arts completed the scoring lineup.
