PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol recorded higher vehicle volume at Cikampek Utama toll gate in Karawang towards Jakarta, due to a 30 percent toll discount on March 26-27, 2026.
PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) reported a surge in traffic at Gerbang Tol (GT) Cikampek Utama (Cikatama) in Karawang, West Java, heading to Jakarta, during the 30 percent toll discount for Lebaran 2026 return flow. Corporate Secretary & Legal JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated that on Thursday, March 26, 2026, shift 1 recorded 21,000 vehicles entering GT Cikatama. Evening volume also spiked significantly. The discount applies to continuous trips from GT Kalikangkung on the Batang-Semarang toll road to GT Cikampek Utama on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, from March 26 at 00:00 WIB to March 27 at 24:00 WIB. “Users benefiting from the toll discount show a clear increase. We are continuously monitoring as shifts 2 and 3 also indicate rising traffic volume from Semarang towards Jakarta,” said Ria Marlinda Paallo, as quoted by Antara on Friday (March 27, 2026). In response to the rise, JTT adjusted operational toll gates at GT Cikatama from 15 to 18 situationally, considering bidirectional traffic. Ria expressed appreciation to the public for utilizing the discount. The policy aims to ease Lebaran return congestion. “It is effective; we appreciate road users who chose to travel during the 30 percent toll discount period,” she added.
