Vogue hosted its second book club gathering with a screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2, set for theaters on May 1. Alumni Kate Young and Billy Norwich joined host Chloe on stage for a live podcast, recounting their experiences at the magazine in the 1990s. They offered candid reactions to the original book and film.
Earlier this week, Vogue organized the event ahead of the 2026 Met Gala. Kate Young, who began as Anna Wintour's assistant in the late 1990s, and Billy Norwich, a former writer and editor, shared memories from their time at the magazine. Billy recalled accompanying Anna Wintour to the 2006 premiere of the film at the Paris Theater, noting that she chose to wear Prada 'because that was her humor.' He also mentioned a job test he created with the late Charles Gandee, which gained renewed attention last year through a New York Times interactive version titled 'Could You Have Landed a Job at Vogue in the '90s?'
