The Women’s Padel Association (WPA) and the International Padel Players Association (IPPA) have announced a new partnership aimed at promoting women's padel across Asia. This alliance, supported by the International Padel Cluster (CIP), will focus on expanding memberships and professionalizing the sport. In collaboration with Asia Padel Events, the initiative seeks to integrate Asian players into the global professional ecosystem.
The partnership positions the WPA as the IPPA’s Official Anchor Partner in Asia. Through this cooperation with Asia Padel Events, the organizations plan to increase memberships among players and coaches, develop talent, and enhance the professional standards of padel in the region. Efforts will leverage the WPA’s existing network of federations, clubs, programs, and tournaments to achieve these goals.
A key aspect involves introducing new membership categories tailored for both professional and amateur players affiliated with the International Padel Federation (FIP). The initiative emphasizes bringing Asian participants into what the CIP describes as the “international professional ecosystem,” fostering greater inclusion and growth.
IPPA members will benefit from access to specialized clinics held at tournaments organized by Asia Padel Events. More than 20 such events are scheduled for this year, providing practical training opportunities. Additionally, these members can participate in WPA programs designed to support skill development and professional advancement.
This collaboration addresses the need for expanded opportunities in women's padel, particularly in Asia, where the sport is gaining traction. By combining resources, the WPA and IPPA aim to build a stronger foundation for female athletes, promoting equality and diversity within racquet sports.
