WWE Women's Champion Rhea Ripley has confirmed she suffered a slight tear in her meniscus. She provided the update while attending the July 10 Power Slap event.
Ripley told Nina Drama that she hurt her knee and now wears a sleeve on her right knee. She said the injury occurred in a weird spot, leaving the recovery timeline uncertain.
She last competed on June 3 at a WWE live event in Portugal. There she teamed with Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton to defeat Fatal Influence.
Ripley has been sidelined for just over a month. She noted the knee still throbs and limits her movement, though it feels better overall.
WWE adjusted creative plans due to the injury. The company is three weeks away from its two-night SummerSlam event in Minnesota.
