‘XO, Kitty’ season 3 sets April premiere on Netflix

Season 3 of Netflix’s “XO, Kitty” will premiere on April 2, continuing the story of teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey as she navigates her senior year. The series, a spinoff from the “To All the Boys” franchise, features returning cast members and new additions. It maintains the format of eight 30-minute episodes.

Netflix has announced that season 3 of its hit romantic comedy “XO, Kitty” will premiere on April 2. The show follows Kitty Song Covey, played by Anna Cathcart, as she returns for her senior year at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS). According to the official logline, Kitty will make meaningful memories with her friends, grow closer to her relatives in Korea, and make big decisions about her future. She aims to define her relationship with Min Ho for real this time, though surprise revelations will challenge her plans and relationships, teaching her to embrace the unexpected.

Created by Jenny Han and showrun by Valentina Garza, who also writes the series, “XO, Kitty” builds on the success of the “To All the Boys” film franchise, adapted from Han’s book series including “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” “To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You,” and “To All the Boys: Always and Forever.” In 2018, Netflix described “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” as one of its most viewed original films ever. Season 2 of “XO, Kitty” debuted at No. 2 on Netflix’s English TV list with 14.2 million views.

The cast includes returning regulars such as Minyeong Choi as Dae, Gia Kim as Yuri, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Anthony Keyvan as Q, Regan Aliyah as Juliana, and Hojo Shin as Jiwon. Additional returning actors are Peter Thurnwald as Alex, Joshua Lee as Jin, Sasha Bhasin as Praveena, Michael K. Lee as Professor Lee, Philippe Lee as Mr. Moon, Jocelyn Shelfo as Madison, Han Bi Ryu as Eunice, and Sunny Oh as Mihee. New cast members for season 3 include Sule Thelwell as Marius, Soy Kim as Yisoo, and Christine Hwang as Gigi.

Produced by Paramount Television Studios, the series is executive produced by Garza, Han, Bradley Gardner, and Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment.
