Y2K sweatsuit collaborations launch amid 2026 revival

Three fashion collaborations have brought back early-2000s sweatsuits and tracksuits this year. The releases involve Madhappy, Sporty & Rich, and Kidill pairing with established labels known for velour and terry pieces.

Madhappy teamed with Freecity on a collection that launched June 5. Co-founder Noah Raf said the partnership felt natural given shared roots in California optimism and authenticity. The drop featured Gen Z influencers Devon Lee Carlson and Sydney Carlson. Sporty & Rich joined Juicy Couture for a velour tracksuit line now sold online. Founder Emily Oberg called Juicy the defining brand of the Y2K era and noted the compliment that her label serves as its modern counterpart. Designer Hiroaki Sueyasu of Kidill created Juicy Couture looks for his spring 2027 menswear show. He highlighted the brand's full-circle appeal and added Japanese subculture elements to allow the sets to be worn by men as well.
