Swedish pop star Zara Larsson has announced a deluxe remix edition of her 2025 album 'Midnight Sun,' titled 'Midnight Sun: Girls Trip,' featuring high-profile collaborations with PinkPantheress, Shakira, Robyn, Tyla, Kehlani and others. Inspired by Charli XCX's 'Brat' spinoff and first hinted at during her tour soundcheck, the project arrives May 1 via Sommer House/Epic Records.

Zara Larsson revealed 'Midnight Sun: Girls Trip' on Instagram April 22, sharing a video of herself at a gas station selecting keychains labeled with collaborators' names. 'I’m so so so so so honored and excited for this,' she captioned. 'And you know what’s crazy? This is just the beginning of girls trip!!! Like HELLO This summer is gonna be madness.'

The deluxe reimagines tracks from her fifth studio album 'Midnight Sun' (featuring singles 'Pretty Ugly,' 'Midnight Sun' and 'Crush'), with the following guests across 10 songs: 'Midnight Sun' (PinkPantheress), 'Eurosummer' (Shakira), 'Puss Puss' (Robyn), 'Hot & Sexy' (Tyla), plus Kehlani, Madison Beer, Bambii, JT, Margo XS, Emilia, Eli, Malibu and Helena Gao. News was first reported by Pitchfork and Billboard, which also shared the album artwork.

Larsson first teased the concept at a 'Midnight Sun Tour' soundcheck in Philadelphia on March 30, confirming to a fan it was like Charli XCX's 'Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat': 'Totally, that’s literally what it is. It’s going to be amazing. It’s really, really fun… It’s really fun to reimagine it, and give it more life, and bring some new energy onto it with some incredible people, to expand the world.' She has prior ties to guests, including remixing PinkPantheress's 'Stateside' (No. 6 Billboard Hot 100) and Tyla's 'She Did It Again,' plus a Coachella cameo with PinkPantheress.

Summer plans include festivals like Mad Cool, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Lollapalooza, Montreux Jazz, Sziget, Pinkpop, Open’er, All Points East and Parklife. On April 29, she will receive Billboard's Breakthrough Award; in a recent interview, she noted reaching new chart heights 10 years in. Larsson recently defended Chappell Roan: 'When a woman has boundaries, I think people freak out. Men can do violent criminal things, and people applaud them, but when a woman says, “Stop following me,” it’s controversial? It’s like, “You guys just hate women, actually.”'
