Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty announced the start of training Palestinian police officers on Egyptian territory to take on security roles in Gaza once a stable ceasefire is in place. This came during a joint press conference in Berlin with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul, where Abdelatty called for the rapid deployment of an international stabilisation force to ensure a lasting ceasefire. Both sides emphasized the need to accelerate Gaza's reconstruction and facilitate humanitarian aid.
