Sec plans exemption for tokenized stock trading

The Securities and Exchange Commission is expected to release an innovation exemption for tokenized stocks as soon as this week. The move would allow equities to trade through crypto-native infrastructure such as automated market makers and stablecoins.
Equity markets extended gains in May 2026 as U.S. stocks rose 5.26 percent and world stocks added 3.90 percent. Commodities declined 7.53 percent during the month. Managed futures posted a modest 0.30 percent return.
