Das Gesamtpreisgeld der diesjährigen PGA Championship erreichte mit 20,5 Millionen US-Dollar einen neuen Höchststand und setzt damit den Aufwärtstrend der vorangegangenen Ausgaben fort. Rais erster Platz brachte ihm 3,69 Millionen US-Dollar ein, was die Auszahlung des Siegers von 2025 um 270.000 US-Dollar übertrifft. Jon Rahm belegte den zweiten Platz und erhielt 2,214 Millionen US-Dollar.

Aaron Rai captured his first major championship on Sunday with a final-round 65 at Aronimink Golf Club. The 31-year-old Englishman finished nine under par, three shots clear of Jon Rahm and Alex Smalley. Rai became the first Englishman to win a major since Matt Fitzpatrick in 2022.

Justin Thomas finished his final round at five under par to lead the clubhouse at the 108th PGA Championship. Aaron Rai later posted nine under to win the title at Aronimink.
