The adidas Forum Cubism SQ is returning in a patent leather version. It will be released exclusively in Japan at atmos.
The shoe builds on the classic adidas Forum basketball sneaker first released in 1984. That model has remained part of the brand's Originals lineup for its lifestyle appeal. The new version features an oversized sole with a sharp square toe and a zig-zagging heel. It was first teased last year in a non-patent version. The patent leather edition is scheduled to release as a Japan exclusive. Observers expect it to appear in fashion circles despite its unconventional design.
