Bayley discusses WWE mentorship role and TNA aspirations

In a recent interview on Busted Open, WWE wrestler Bayley opened up about her role as a locker room leader and mentor to younger talents. She expressed enthusiasm for sharing lessons learned from veterans like Naomi, Nattie, and John Cena. Bayley also shared her childhood dream of working with TNA, including a past tryout.

Bayley, known as The Role Model in WWE, has been recognized by peers such as Shotzi and Sonya Deville as a locker room leader. During her appearance on Busted Open, she reflected on how this responsibility has evolved over the past few years. "I don’t take it lightly. It’s hard to feel like that," Bayley said. "I just started realizing it more within the last few years, where people are coming to me asking for feedback or advice or their opinion on something."

She emphasized the importance of active observation in matches, noting a shift from watching as a fan to analyzing professionally. Bayley acknowledged her unique perspective, mentioning differences with Lyra Valkyria on wrestling matters. She values passing on knowledge gained from others, including Naomi's lessons on perseverance and pushing through challenges, Nattie's guidance on resilience and treating people well, and John Cena's advice on storytelling, simplicity, and listening. "I love being able to share that. It’s not all coming from me. I’ve just gathered all this information," she explained. "The more that we could share that, and then they could pass that along. It just keeps going and going. I love this position."

Bayley began her wrestling career at age 18 on the independent circuit before signing with WWE in 2012. Discussing cross-promotional opportunities, she expressed interest in TNA and AAA, citing wrestlers like AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, and Finn Bálor who have worked across promotions. "I would love to dip my toes in TNA and AAA," Bayley stated. "TNA was one of my dreams as a kid, you know? I love the Knockouts division. They were like the hottest division for so long. Gail Kim’s one of my favorites. I did a tryout for TNA years ago, like 2010 or something."

The interview highlights Bayley's appreciation for wrestling's interconnected history and her desire to contribute to its future through mentorship and potential new experiences.
