CBS gab am Mittwoch bekannt, dass die 28. Staffel von Big Brother am Donnerstag, dem 9. Juli, um 20 Uhr ET Premiere feiern wird. Die langlebige Reality-Serie kehrt mit einer 90-minütigen Episode zurück und markiert damit einen bedeutenden Meilenstein.

Der Sender bestätigte die Rückkehr im Sommer während seiner Ankündigung. Staffel 28 wird die höchste Anzahl an Programmstunden in der Geschichte der Show aufweisen, wenn man die Begleitserie Big Brother: Unlocked mit einbezieht. Zudem ist es die erste Primetime-Serie, die 1.000 Originalepisoden erreicht.
