Ducati's Multistrada experience provides guided rides in Wales

Ducati Riding Experience has introduced a two-day guided tour in Mid Wales, allowing participants to ride Multistrada motorcycles on scenic roads and light trails. The event, based at Sweet Lamb Adventure Bike Academy, handles logistics like bikes and routes for a relaxed adventure. It targets riders new to off-road exploration or considering a Multistrada purchase.

The Ducati Multistrada Experience takes place in the Cambrian Mountains and Elan Valley, areas known for their rippling roads, gravel tracks, and variable weather, ideal for adventure bikes. Participants arrive at Sweet Lamb Adventure Bike Academy, a site used for rally testing and training, for a morning briefing before selecting either a Multistrada V2 or V4.

Day one involves a mix of sweeping mountain roads, single-track lanes, and light gravel sections, with a scenic lunch stop and afternoon riding. The group then proceeds to the Elan Valley Hotel near Rhayader for the night. This boutique hotel offers spacious, luxurious rooms and a restaurant with vegetarian and vegan options, though dinner is not included in the package.

Day two begins with breakfast and continues with exploration of surrounding trails and roads, returning to base by evening. Routes adjust based on weather and group skill, ensuring a balance of faster sections and technical paths. Instructors from the DRE UK team maintain small groups for a friendly atmosphere, adhering to speed limits to prioritize safety and enjoyment over speed.

Priced at £799 per rider, the experience covers bike use, fuel, coaching, one night's accommodation, and lunches; pillions add £150. It appeals to less experienced riders seeking guidance without planning hassles, or those wanting extended time on the Multistrada before buying. For more advanced off-road training, DRE offers separate courses, including upcoming ones for Ducati MX and enduro bikes at Sweet Lamb.
