EVAN's solo single teaser sparks ENGENEs backlash

Former ENHYPEN member Heeseung, performing as EVAN, released the first teaser for his solo digital single on June 10. The track titled Ride Or Die is scheduled to drop on June 26 ahead of his KCON LA 2026 performance.

Fans quickly linked the title to a January Weverse post where Heeseung told ENGENEs they were even more ride or die after finishing Knife promotions. Online reactions show some accusing Belift of ruining a planned group release, with comments claiming the letter proves he did not expect to leave. Others view the post as proof he pre-planned his March 2026 departure from the group. The backlash centers on the phrase appearing in both the farewell letter and the upcoming solo track, though no official statements from EVAN or Belift address the connection.
