Glazer Hall launches Christie's luxury collectibles speaker series

Glazer Hall in Palm Beach is introducing a new speaker series this spring, featuring experts from Christie's auction house. The program will cover trends in watches, jewelry, and handbags to help collectors understand the auction market. The series begins on March 10 with a focus on watch collecting.

Glazer Hall in Palm Beach, Florida, will host the Curated by Christie's Speaker Series, sponsored by Northern Trust, starting this spring. The monthly talks aim to provide insights into the luxury collectibles market for both new and experienced collectors, making the auction world more accessible.

The season kicks off at 7 p.m. on March 10 with "The Art of Collecting Watches," discussing timepieces from brands such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, Breguet, and Vacheron Constantin. Future sessions will explore high-end jewelry from houses including Bulgari, Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels, as well as collectible handbags from Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. Some events will include a champagne reception or lunch.

"This series is a rare opportunity to learn about different luxury markets from an insider’s perspective," said Cathy Busch, deputy chairman of Christie's, in a statement.

The initiative comes amid strong growth in Christie's luxury segment. In 2025, the auction house surpassed $1 billion in sales, driven by millennials and Gen Z, who accounted for 44% of bidders and buyers. Female clients saw a 20% increase in spending and 10% rise in participation. The watch category recorded high private sales volumes, including transactions over $10 million, with interest in neo-vintage models from the 1990s and early 2000s.

Organizers noted the program's goal to demystify demand for rare items. Tickets are available at GlazerHall.org or by calling 561-576-7860.
